The Seven Rays of Creation (seven planetary forces)
sapta-raśmi
also: seven-rays, seven-forces, sapta-rashmi
pra-seven-raysDefinition
Frawley's doctrine that the seven planets outwardly represent seven rays/ forces that determine the play of creation: they exist in nature as the elements and energies on all levels, form the seven planes/levels of the cosmos, and inwardly create the rational and emotional mind plus the five senses ("life is a tapestry of seven times seven"). All worlds and beings are combinations of these seven causal lights, which are themselves the lights of our own soul.
Modern
Prāṇa relevance
The seven-rays scheme is Frawley's bridge from the seven grahas to the structure of mind and senses — a cosmos→psyche mapping. It is esoteric/ Theosophical-flavoured [MODERN — Frawley] and is NOT a subtle-prana physiology; the link to the five vayus or chakras is not drawn here (the Sun→ crown and Moon→astral gateways at death are the closest he comes — see the graha patches). prana_relevance: conceptual, not traced as a vayu mechanism.
