- Door side-frame thickness in angula = door height in hasta; threshold and lintel = 1.5 × that; breadth of all four pieces = 7 × door-height ÷ 80. Pillar width at base = 9 × its height ÷ 80, tapering one-tenth to the top; circumference = 3 × width. The pillar divides into ninths: bottom two = vahana, then ghata, padma, top = uttaroshtha. Main architrave = pillar thickness; each successive beam = 3/4 of the one before.
