Prāṇa relevance

⚑ The confluence is the densest dwelling→body node in the book: each corner routes a direction → element → guṇa → planet → doṣa → body-limb, and the doṣas sit just above prāṇa in substantiality (per ch.3, dos- 'more substantial than prāṇa, less substantial than the Five Elements'). The śūla/spear at the door 'disrupts the free movement of prāṇa' (p.185), and 'Vāstu speaks in prāṇa language' — fitness/unfitness of a corner is finally read by the gut-feeling of one's own prāṇa (p.178–179). The NE confluence (sattva + Water + Jupiter + head) is the corner most conducive to a clear, prāṇa-'right' state; the SW (tamas + Earth + Nodes + lower body) the hardest to 'digest'. The element→prāṇa and doṣa→prāṇa joints remain the same interpretive steps flagged in ch.3 — the architecture→element/guṇa/doṣa half is stated outright; the final →prāṇa step is by substantiality-layering, not spelled-out physiology. prana_relevance: strong but not closed.

Statement: Each intercardinal quadrant of a dwelling bundles a direction, a Great Element, a guṇa, a planet (or planets), and a limb of the Vāstu Puruṣa into a single 'confluence': NORTHEAST = Water + sattva + Jupiter + the head (the best corner; kapha-predominant, pitta-secondary; the serenity/meditation nook); SOUTHEAST = Fire + rajas + Venus + a hand (second-best; net pitta though Venus is itself vāta-and-kapha; the kitchen/fire quadrant); SOUTHWEST = Earth + tamas + Rāhu and Ketu (under Nirṛti) + the lower body (least-esteemed; vāta-pitta overabundance on a tamas base; storage/master-bedroom/ancestors); NORTHWEST = Air + rajas + the Moon + a hand (second-most-unruly; clear vāta predominance softened by lunar kapha; the treasure-room/granary/guest-room of transience). The four together form the Vāstu Puruṣa's stance — head-NE, hands-SE&NW, lower-body-SW — and a clockwise guṇa cycle sattva→rajas→tamas→rajas following the sun. Conditions: Confluence intensifies an indication when multiple correspondences of one planet/direction stack (door-direction + planet-ruled wall-segment + weekday + colour + furnishings + animal/plant/mineral motifs). 'Like increases like'; spending time in / facing a corner activates its guṇa and dosha-load.
Exceptions: A confluence can be too strong to 'digest' (a Mars-Mars house → pitta disease; a Saturn-Saturn west house → vāta excess + isolation) — strength is desirable only insofar as the occupant can wield it. Negative confluence (door in a malefic wall-segment + matching direction/colour) can be coped with but reinforces every time the door opens; the homeostatic rebound caveat (too far toward one polarity invites its opposite) also applies.
