- Worship with garlands, scents, incense, cloth, food, gold, liquor, meat is offered in the NE corner; the first stone is laid there and the rest clockwise through the quarters; pillars and doors are raised the same way, decorated.

- Utpala entertains a variant reading that would begin in the SE; Bhat rejects it — nobody prescribes first worship in the SE [MODERN — M.R. Bhat (1981) criticizing Utpala]. Shanku-peg installation rules quoted from another work are garbled in our copy (Q26).
