Offerings to the Five Elements in their ruled regions

Each element 'carries prāṇa and responds to prāṇa' (ch. 3); a balanced element-offering nourishes sukha and lets prāṇa flow (a judiciously filled space 'encourages prāṇa to flow freely... nourishing sukha'). The Space-offering (keeping the centre empty) directly protects the home's central prāṇa. On-thesis via the element↔prāṇa link, interpretive at the offering→prāṇa joint.

- Each of the Five Elements should be honored in the region it rules — Earth in the SW (a crystal/rock/ heavy item, aromas, since Earth rules smell), Water in the NE (a fountain/pond/empty corner, since Water rules taste/good food), Fire in the SE (sunlight/candle/oil-lamp/copper fire-pot, artwork, since Fire rules sight/form), Air in the NW (wind-chimes/prayer-flags/incense, rich textures, since Air rules touch), Space at the CENTER (left empty but for an occasional flower; music, ruled by Space) — to increase sukha in a space, especially when a room sits where it does not naturally belong. Offer by CONFLUENCE: enhance a weak element freely only if it is weak everywhere (room, home, horoscope); else make a small 'token' offering ('never use a floodlight when a candle will suffice').
