- Each planet carries a number from its sequence: 1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Mars, 4 Mercury, 5 Jupiter, 6 Venus, 7 Saturn, 8 Rahu, 9 Ketu. The seven visible planets are also listed in weekday order (Sun=Sunday … Saturn=Saturday), which interweaves the inner and outer planets. Planetary energy begins with the Sun and proceeds to Ketu (realization/liberation) at the end.
