Yantras are 'the visible form, the energy body, of the mantra' — a geometric remedy acting on the subtle environment with no side-effects; a propitiatory tool to rebalance a graha. The number-5/five-elements gloss ties the yantra to the pancabhuta substrate. Subtle prana not explicit.

- Each planet has a numerical yantra: a 3×3 magic square whose rows, columns and diagonals all sum to the same number, derived from the magic-square of five (the Sun's, '5' at center, lines = 15, the Lo-shu / 'Writing from the Lo River' that also underlies the I Ching). Each planet's square starts from a root number in the upper-center and increments the whole square: Sun root 1 (line-sum 15, total 45), Moon 2 (18 / 54), Mars 3 (21 / 63), Mercury 4 (24 / 72), Jupiter 5 (27 / 81), Venus 6 (30 / 90), Saturn 7 (33 / 99), Rahu 8 (36 / 108), Ketu 9 (39 / 117). Five is the root of manifestation (5 elements, 5 senses, 5 limbs); the total 45 = 9×5 shows the fivefold force fully developed.
