Svoboda's room-placement doctrine (augmenting BS 53.118)

rul-room-placement-svoboda

Prāṇa relevance

⚑ The chapter's master Vāstu→body lever: a room in the right quadrant lets its purpose-prāṇa flow with the quadrant's element/doṣa/guṇa, raising sukha; a wrong-placed room (e.g. SE bedroom → pitta-heat, NE bedroom → kapha-wet) stamps the wrong doṣa on its residents. The kitchen-SE rule routes the cooking-fire→ digestion→bodily-prāṇa chain (cnx-0001 family). Placement→doṣa is stated; doṣa→prāṇa is the substantiality-layer step (doṣas sit just above prāṇa) left interpretive.

Statement
Assign each room to the quadrant whose qualities (element, planet, guṇa, doṣa) match the room's purpose, augmenting the Bṛhat Saṁhitā skeleton (53.118: worship NE, kitchen SE, storeroom SW, treasure/granary NW) with Vāstu logic. Svoboda's chart of 'most desirable room locations': kitchen SE (south side, never NE); worship/shrine NE; storeroom SW; treasure/granary NW (valuables N wall); master bedroom SW (never NE/SE), guest bedroom NW, children's bedroom W; dining any cardinal, preferably W; library/study W or N; living room at the CENTER; bathroom/toilet S or W (2nd NW/SE), never opposite the front door. A room in its Vāstu-suggested location reaches its potential more easily; only a wrong-placed room WITH strong negative confluence justifies structural change or moving house.

Conditions
match each room's purpose to its quadrant's element/planet/guṇa/doṣa; a misaligned room can often be remedied (décor, colour, element-offerings) rather than moved; a non-cardinally-aligned house loses 'automatic allocation' and needs more personalized (breath-tested) evaluation
Exceptions
structural change or relocation only when a wrong-placed room ALSO has strong negative confluence (e.g. a SW kitchen with no back-up, a steep drop behind, large windows, irregular shape)
