Statement
Two planets are in Sambandha ('complete connection') when in mutual full aspect, OR when they exchange signs (each in a sign ruled by the other — 'mutual reception', one of the most powerful connections), OR (by some practitioners) when in mutual Quadrant (1/4/7/10) or Trine (1/5/9) houses. A conjunction (close proximity, counted by sign) is likewise a full planetary relationship constituting Sambandha, though Vedic astrology does not class conjunction as an 'aspect'.
