- Statement
- The Sun, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, and the lord of the 12th house from the Ascendant are 'separative' planets: they separate/remove us from the things they influence. Several aspecting the marriage factors (7th, its lord, the partner significator — Venus for a male, Jupiter for a female) → separation/divorce; aspecting the 10th → job loss; the 4th/Moon/Mercury → risk of being 'separated from one's mind'; the 5th/Jupiter → separation from / inability to have children. Each has a distinct flavour (Sun: independence/burning-up; Saturn: loss/alienation; Rahu: dispersion toward the foreign; Ketu: contraction/negativity; 12th-lord: loss/retreat).
