  • brihatBS XXXII (Utpala's commentary) states explicitly that GARGA and VRDDHAGARGA are two different persons (they hold differing earthquake- cause views). This is a captured datum bearing on the Garga-identity question (Q44/Q28); it is NOT a resolution of whether the architecture- Garga (56.30) = the jyotisha-Garga = the vrikshayurveda-Garga (55.27).
