Definition

The house of the partner — the wife in a man's chart, the husband in a woman's — and the main house for marriage and male/female relationships. As the Descendant (opposite the Ascendant/Self), it represents "the other," one's complement; a house of love, passion, committed (vs romantic) partnership, and one's capacity to affect others in general.
