The Cosmic Person (Cosmic Man / Purusha)
पुरुषpuruṣa
also: cosmic-man, cosmic-being, kalapurusha-cosmic
pra-cosmic-person-purushaDefinition
Frawley's framing of the macrocosm–microcosm identity: the stars and planets form a "cosmic man", and each human being mirrors that cosmic person as "a solar system within ourselves". The planets are the limbs/portions of the Cosmic Man who is our inmost Self; spiritual realization is "reintegrating the cosmic man" — putting the dispersed planetary rays back together within one's own heart. The classic correspondence: as above so below, as without so within.
Modern
Prāṇa relevance
This is Frawley's master body↔cosmos homology — the conceptual frame on which the whole project's "how does the dwelling/cosmos relate to the human body" question rests. It is the modern-author analogue of the Vastu-Purusha limb homology and the kalapurusha (sign↔body-part) scheme: the cosmos has a body and the human body is a cosmos. Frawley keeps it at the level of consciousness/ soul, not subtle physiology; the link to prana proper is conceptual, not traced as a vayu mechanism.

Center HomologyFilledper txt-svoboda-vastu
⚑ 'Each constructed space is a small universe unto itself, with a center that emulates the universe's center, the point from which existence itself radiated when time and space began. In the macrocosm, that point is the puruṣa; in the developing embryonic microcosm, the zygote; in the developed human, the navel. In temples, homes, images, and furniture, that point is at the entity's energetic center, which is at or near its geometric center.' The macrocosm↔microcosm↔dwelling center-correspondence: puruṣa = zygote = navel/hara = a building's geometric/energetic center.Expansion Contraction RoleFilledper txt-svoboda-vastu
Puruṣa (the originating awareness that remembers All is One) and prakṛti (the portion of the One that comes to see itself as separate, whose 'intrinsic nature is to limit, finitize') are the two terms of the cosmic breath: energy EXPANDS outward from puruṣa to manifest matter, generating an awareness that CRAVES to return to the Creator — the same out-then-back the soul performs ('broadcasts awareness out... and gathers awareness back to that point') and the dwelling's prāṇa performs. Svoboda: 'we can think of prakṛti as the residence the universe is creating for puruṣa.'Law Of Microcosm MacrocosmFilledper txt-svoboda-vastu
'The Law of Microcosm and Macrocosm... tells us that whatever appears in the external cosmos, in heaven and earth, appears as well in the internal human cosmos' — and (PDF p.092) 'as with the microcosm, so with its surrounding environment, for churches, houses, and parks develop just like children and cosmoses.' The same developmental arc (explosive expansion → stable plateau → degeneration/death) runs through universe, zygote, and dwelling.Connections (1)

- The thesis-frame (astrology as a spiritual science / part of Atma Vidya) is built ON the cosmic-person homology: the planets are 'the portions of the Cosmic Man who we are that we must put back together'; the chart mirrors the soul; spiritual realization is reintegrating the dispersed planetary rays within the heart. The doctrine deploys the macrocosm<->microcosm (Purusha) concept as its operative mechanism. No more specific §4 type fits (doctrine-deploys-concept); influences per the §4 rule.

Notes from other books
- txt-svoboda-vastuThree NEW fields on the macrocosm↔microcosm anchor entity (Frawley layer = 'stars form the cosmic man'). Svoboda extends it to the DWELLING: a built space's center emulates puruṣa/the universe's center, and a house 'develops just like children and cosmoses'. The puruṣa-expansion / prakṛti-finitization pair IS the cosmic expansion-contraction the whole chapter is named for; the room's center is where that breath is seated in a building. Cross-book corroboration with Frawley flagged as a question, not asserted as a merge.
